About Me
Hi! I am Di Yang, an international student from China. I am currently a senior student studying at Savannah College of Art&Design. My major is 3D animation, and I really, really love it with full of my passion.
I have four years of experience in learning animation and a solid understanding of the animation pipeline. Proficient in the 12 principles of animation, I can effectively apply them to my own animations. Through participation in various collaborative projects, I have honed my communication skills, actively engaging in project discussions and offering creative suggestions. I welcome and appreciate feedback to enhance the quality of my animations.
In addition to my 3D animation skills, I possess knowledge and practical experience in modeling, rigging, and texturing. I am highly motivated to explore new software and can quickly acquire new skills through short-term study. Beyond 3D, I have cultivated 2D skills, including storyboarding, concept art, and character design, driven by personal interest.
My dream is to become a professional animator. In my spare time, I choose to watch animations, some of which are from Disney and are particularly inspiring to me. Even before I started learning animation, I was always amazed at how animators could express the characteristics of each character through body movements, creating storytelling that deeply touched me. I appreciate every detail and musical element in these movies.
After delving into the field of animation, I still find Disney's animations to be the most inspiring. I watch many detailed actions repeatedly to study elements like anticipation, weight, overlapping, and how to create better-looking poses. These aspects have become crucial points for my learning journey.
Additionally, I enjoy playing video games on PC and PS5 platforms, including League of Legends, Valorant, The Last of Us, Uncharted, etc. These games not only offer interesting gameplay but also showcase incredible animations. The smooth and believable body mechanics in these games serve as my benchmark, and I continually strive to reach a professional level in my animation work.
I have an optimistic and friendly personality, and I am open to listening to everyone's suggestions for my animation. I believe that being receptive to feedback is the first step towards becoming a professional. I approach my work with a high level of seriousness, meticulously carving out details to ensure it reaches the best possible state. Additionally, I consistently seek to challenge myself, viewing each breakthrough as an opportunity to gain new experiences
Thank you so much for your willingness to get to know me, and I also hope that one day I can achieve my dream!
